The Klevr Super League was established in the fall of 2022 by 2 time Stanley Cup Champion Kris Versteeg and his partner Jamie Stone, a 16 year Elementary School Principal.
Kris and Jamie met through the private hockey development organizations they developed, Klevr Young Kings and the Kawartha Canadiens. At first in the fall of 2021, both teams played each other, by March of that year they hosted a year end tournament with 16 teams. Last season, they organized a 20 team league who played each other in exhibition games throughout the season and in formalized tournaments at Christmas and at the end of the season in the League Championship.
Kris and Jamie knew there was a desire for this league across the province. They also knew that if they didn’t form the league then someone else would. So in the fall of 2022 the KSL was born with safety, affordability, development and fun at the forefront of their endeavours.
Since this time, Kris and Jamie have teamed with a talented staff and skilled charter and affiliate owners to build this league. They have also partnered with organizations in Quebec, BC, Alberta and throughout the US to make the KSL brand that much stronger.
The KSL is a place where the top players play and practice with and against other top players in a safe, fun and competitive environment.
